I'm a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (General Practice) and have 30 years experience as a qualified valuation surveyor.

The majority of my time has been spent working for Jones Lang LaSalle in the valuation department in various roles including valuing for acquisition, accounts and unit pricing purposes. Clients included Funds, Trusts, Property Companies and REITS. More recently I worked client side at Aviva Investors ensuring best practice by managing the valuation process across all Funds and properties.

I joined KEL in July 2020 and am looking forward to working with the team providing first class service supporting clients using software that people want to use.

Outside the world of valuation I'm spending time undertaking Charity work and enjoying the Wiltshire and Dorset countryside.

After gaining my degree, I worked in London for 6 years and qualified as a chartered surveyor. I took a side-step into software support and training with KEL, and have been here for 20 years. I work part-time now, the rest of the week you'll find me running around after my 2 daughters or down at the allotment.

I qualified as a chartered surveyor while working at Donaldson's Jermyn Street office then remained in private practice for a further 3 years before moving with 3 partners into commercial property development as principals. We later sold our (by then publicly quoted) company. While continuing to invest in commercial property I taught myself to write software, which evolved into a passion for writing valuation programs. KEL came into being in 1985 when the RICS offered to sell my programs via Surveyors Publications. I'm committed to providing a professional service while producing the best possible valuation software. The study of depth psychology and practicing Tai Chi occupy a good part of my spare time.

After reading Maths at Oxford, I joined a software house working on projects in various industries. At KEL I specialised in developing valuation software and have been here for over 15 years. I'm now a director of KEL and am involved in all aspects of the development process from design to client support. I enjoy the problem solving side of the job, but the most satisfying part of the job is producing software that people want to use. Outside of work parenting keeps me busy, but when I get the time I enjoy reading and golf.

After leaving Birmingham University I worked in several areas at a large technology company, contributing to projects for - amongst other organisations - the European Space Agency, the DTI and Rolls Royce. In the course of that work my focus shifted from mainframes to PCs to Windows-based work, and 15 years ago I moved to KEL to concentrate on that area full time. At KEL I love the fact that direct customer contact can lead to design decisions and then to new features that can be ready for use in the next release - being able to give that sort of rapid and flexible response is very rewarding. Outside of KEL I enjoy visiting and staying in old properties, taking on overambitious DIY projects and working through TiVo backlogs.

After many years working for a large software company I made the decision to leave in 2008 to start a family. I took a three year career break which was kept incredibly busy looking after my son. I joined KEL in 2011 and my main roles are invoicing, bookkeeping and credit control along with other finance and admin duties. I really enjoy all aspects of working at KEL especially interacting with clients and working with our amazing team. The majority of my spare time is spent being very active with my family along with occasional nights out socialising with friends.

After leaving Business College I started my career in administration and eventually moved into Software Support, maintaining and supporting Manufacturing and Production software; over a number of years in the UK and 3 years in the Netherlands. I joined KEL in 2012 as a part-time member of staff. I am responsible for distributing software updates, assisting clients with questions on updates and installation of KEL software, keeping in regular contact with customers and maintaining our client database. When I'm not at KEL I enjoy developing my Tai Chi skills, reading and going on interesting holidays.

As a non-exec director, I've been in the privileged position to observe KEL navigate the challenges of a complex business environment and realise steady growth in recent years. I enjoy constructively challenging and contributing to internal and external strategy development. I also try to bring a thoughtful perspective from my experience in digital technologies and operations management in the life science and music industries. In my leisure time I enjoy sailing, skiing or trying to get past the 'basic eight' in tango.

I joined KEL in November 2017 having previously worked for a large life assurance company and a small software company performing product support, testing and software development duties on in house built systems. I will be transferring these skills to my role with KEL to further enhance the KEL suite of products to meet the customers' needs. When not working I enjoy the great outdoors; walking and cycling. I have two teenagers that constantly need ferrying around and when I have time to myself I enjoy reading and listening to a wide range of music, including my son's drumming!

As a certified cloud administrator, I enjoy being part of our brilliant cloud systems team. I ensure the efficient operation of our cloud-based systems and collaborate closely with our software developers, supporting rapid infrastructure deployments. My focus is on creating and maintaining secure and resilient systems. I work with the team to define and develop documented policies, procedures, and operational runbooks. Outside the world of cloud computing, you’ll find me immersed in books and music.

After graduating and having been involved with many companies, small and conglomerate, and with the English and the Irish governments, I especially value my long relationship with KEL. I've been with the company for over 15 years now and am particularly impressed with the company's ethics, which have been a constant. I find working with my colleagues very rewarding, both professionally and personally. I am currently responsible for the maintenance and development of the Delta suite of software.

Originally from South Africa, I completed my studies at the University of Johannesburg. I have over 25 years’ experience developing Software across multiple industries. I enjoy the challenges of software development and the goal of creating applications of a high standard to serve our customers. Outside of work, I am kept very busy by my two young boys.
